Radioshack Samsung Galaxy S6 – Everything you need

The bright side is that as of today RadioShack. Radioshack Samsung Galaxy S6… has actually formally been acquired by Retail Ecommerce Ventures (REV), providing the distressed business a new lease on life. The disadvantage, at least for folks like us, is that there are no immediate plans to return the iconic electronic devices retailer to its brick-and-mortar roots. As the name indicates, REV focuses on online retail, having formerly revamped the Web presence of other insolvent organizations such as Pier 1 Imports and Dressbarn.

While journalism release does not outright prevent the possibility of brand-new physical RadioShack places, it’s clear that REV thinks the future of retail isn’t to be found in your local shopping center. As the US mulls further lockdowns in reaction to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, it’s difficult to disagree. There will be countless bored kids and grownups trying to find something to do throughout the long winter nights, and an electronic set or more shipped to their door might be just the important things.

REV says they prepare to relaunch the rather outdated RadioShack website in the nick of time for the business’s 100th anniversary in 2021. Since this writing the site currently says that sales have actually been temporarily stopped to enable stock restructuring, though it’s unclear if this is straight related to the buyout or not. Getting an accurate count of just how much merchandise the business still has on hand after shuttering most of their physical areas in 2017 definitely seems like something the new owners would wish to do.

Like most of you, we have fond memories of the Golden era of RadioShack, back prior to they thought offering tvs and phones was in some way an excellent idea. To their credit, they did attempt and rekindle their relationship with hackers and makers by asking the community what they ‘d wish to see in their shops. We all know how that story ended. While it does not look like this news will get us any closer to having a community store that stocks resistors, there’s a particular comfort in understanding that RadioShack books and sets will still be around for the next generation.

RadioShack’s shambling remains were offered another jolt of life today when they were acquired by another company that plans to relaunch the once-great seller as an online-focused brand name.

The shop’s remains were purchased by Retail Ecommerce Ventures (REV), a start-up founded in 2019 that’s been scooping up brands from other faded retail giants as well, including Pier 1, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Dressbarn, and more. REV states RadioShack’s website currently has “strong existing sales and sales capacity,” and the business is “positive” it can further raise awareness of the brand globally.

REV declares it’s successfully reversed other companies it’s introduced as online brands. The Wall Street Journal reported that Dressbarn more than doubled its profits in between the 2nd and very first quarter of 2020.

RadioShack was established in 1921 and became a retail staple in the ’80s and ’90s for anybody looking to get tech basics. REV didn’t state whether those RadioShack licenses would stick around. Radioshack Samsung Galaxy S6

REV says it will “quickly relaunch” RadioShack’s site. So for those of you still clinging on to fond memories of the shop, there’ll be a familiar enough place to go when you wish to purchase expensive HDMI cable televisions and knockoff headphones.
